Hello everyone, I hope all is well. Welcome back.

OK let’s jump right in.

First buy of the week;

Sammy WatkinsSammy Watkins is a WR that many are down on after a mediocre first half and a bust of a season a year ago. He currently sits as WR26 in PPR scoring and is the 36th. There are plenty of owners that are down on Watkins, after a slow start to this year and the bust of a year ago. Watkins is only 25 years old, and still has plenty of tread left on his tires. For the fourth time in his career and the first time since week 12 of 2105, Watkins scored more than 30 fantasy points. This game here reminds us that when he is at his best he can post massive fantasy point totals. Even as the typical third read for Patrick Mahomes, he still holds value and has a very high ceiling. Watkins is a WR to target, his bye week isn’t until week 12, and he is a WR that will help you navigate through the heavy bye weeks in week 9 & 11. His match-ups are good as well coming up; Cleveland, Arizona, and Los Angeles are all teams that have been beaten by a teams #2 WR. Grab Watkins now while most think last week was a fluke, you’ll be happy you did.

Second Buy of the week;

Larry Fitzgerald – this one is mainly for the teams pushing for a league championship. Fitzgerald has had a rough start to 2018. He has battled thru some injuries, been witness to one of the worst offenses of his career that included terrible play calling and QB2 execution. One of the best WR of his generation, Fitzgerald appears to be healthy and his offense is getting healthier as well. The Cardinals fired Mike McCoy and in the first week under new OC Byron Leftwich, the offense showed some signs of life. Fitz was targeted 12 times and turned those targets into 8 catches for 102 yards and a touchdown. Adding Fitz to your roster this week while he is on bye. The Cardinals have KC, Oakland and the Chargers in weeks 10-12. Fitz will come back rested and as a key member of a new offense that just has a full two weeks to iron out the kinks. The acquisition cost won’t be high here but the return on your investment will be. Go get him.

Third Buy of the week;

Kenyan Drake – I know, you have heard this one before. I remain a truther for Drake simply because of his talent and his upside. All he needs is the damn ball. Carries thus far in Miami have been split 84/70 in favor of Frank Gore. Where Drake has excelled is in the passing game. He has 27 catches on 41 targets season to date. Miami has announced Brock Osweiler as the starting QB again in week 9, and by the looks of Ryan Tannehill’s shoulder, it could be much longer than that. Osweiler is good for Drake for a few reasons, he will check down and target Drake and well he’s not very good. Miami is likely trailing most weeks going forward and that game script keeps Drake on the field. He is RB15 currently and has had to games over 23 points in the last four weeks. Drake is a RB1 talent and a RB you should go and get for the rest of this season and beyond. You will be happy you did.

Started playing fantasy in a work league in 2007 and have been an active player ever since, engaging in multiple leagues annually, including a league I’ve commissioned since 2012. My passion for fantasy was triggered after entering my first dynasty league in 2016; building a team retained for years to come became an obsession. As an active waiver wire participant, who loves the art of the deal as much as I do, dynasty is the perfect match. Dynasty humbles you, teaches you something each and every season, and I just can’t get enough.
